    Description

Under the action of ultrasonic energy, two or more immiscible liquids are mixed together, and one of the liquids is uniformly dispersed in the other liquid to form an emulsion liquid. This process is called ultrasonic emulsification.

A wide variety of intermediates and consumer products such as cosmetics and skin care products, pharmaceutical ointments, paints, lubricants and fuels are full or partial emulsions. Emulsions are found in all aspects of life, and understanding how to control and optimize properties is critical to producing a product of high quality, defined as suitability for the final application.

    The main advantage

Compared with general emulsification process and equipment (such as propeller, colloid mill and homogenizer, etc.), ultrasonic emulsification has the following characteristics:

1.20K Chinese ultrasonic emulsification machine with high emulsification quality

The average droplet size of the formed emulsion is small, which can be 0.2~2μm, and the distribution range of droplet size is narrow, which can be 0.1~10μm or narrower. The concentration is high, and the concentration of pure emulsion can reach 30%, and the concentration of emulsifier can reach 70%. .

2.20K Chinese ultrasonic emulsification machine emulsification stability

Stable emulsions can be produced without or with less emulsifiers, and some can be stable for several months to more than half a year, with low energy consumption, high production efficiency, and low cost.

3.20K Chinese ultrasonic emulsification machine can control the type of emulsion

Under certain acoustic field conditions, both o/w (oil in water) and w/o (water in oil) type emulsions can be prepared, however this is not possible with mechanical emulsification methods, only the nature of the emulsifier can control the lactic acid type. For example, when toluene is emulsified in water, one type of emulsion can be formed under low acoustic intensity conditions, while another type of emulsion can be formed under high acoustic intensity conditions.

4.20K Chinese ultrasonic emulsification machine requires less power to produce emulsion

For example, if an emulsion with a droplet size of 4.55m3/h and a droplet size of 1μm is prepared, if a reed whistle is used, when the working pressure is 10.5~14.1kg/cm2, only 5~7 horsepower of driving power is required, while a high-pressure homogenizer is used. When the working pressure is 70.3~351.6kg/cm2, a driving power of 40~50 horsepower is required.

Ultrasonic emulsification can also prepare emulsions that cannot be obtained by general methods. For example, ordinary stirring can only obtain 5% paraffin emulsion in water, but in the sound field, 20% paraffin emulsion can be obtained. Fuel is mixed with water and ultrasonically emulsified and burned.

It has been popularized and applied in China for many years. There is no need to add an emulsifier during this process, and the particle size of the water droplets in the emulsified oil reaches about 1 μm, which can save energy by 6% to 25%, reduce smoke and dust by 40% to 90%, and reduce NOx by 20% to 75%, which is fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly. Adding a small amount of water to the kerosene mixed fuel for ultrasonic emulsification and mixing can produce a stable kerosene suspension with a coal content of more than 40%, which is convenient for storage and transportation and has significant benefits. On the other hand, at low sound intensity and certain frequency, ultrasound can break the emulsion.

    5. Advantages of ultrasonic emulsification

Compared with general emulsification process and equipment (such as propeller, colloid mill and homogenizer), ultrasonic emulsification has many advantages.

The average droplet size of the emulsion formed by ultrasonic emulsification is small, which can be 0.2~2um; the droplet size distribution range is narrow, which can be 01~10um or narrower.

The concentration of ultrasonic emulsion is high, the concentration of pure emulsion can exceed 30%, and the concentration of emulsifier can be as high as 70%.

The formed emulsion is more stable. An important feature of ultrasonic emulsification is that it can produce extremely stable emulsion without or with less emulsifier.

The type of emulsion can be controlled. Using ultrasonic emulsification, both O/W (oil in water) and W/O (water in oil) type emulsions can be prepared under certain acoustic field conditions; however, this is not possible with mechanical emulsification methods, only the properties of emulsifiers To control the type of emulsion.

Toluene is emulsified in water, one type of emulsion can be formed under the condition of low sound intensity, and another type of emulsion can be formed under the condition of high sound intensity.

Ultrasonic emulsification requires less power to produce milk dregs.

The obvious advantages of ultrasonic emulsification have prompted it to be used more and more in many industrial processes such as food, papermaking, paint, chemical industry, medicine, textile, petroleum, metallurgy, etc. Among them, the combustion of fuel oil mixed with water is a newly emerging one in China. important date.

If you want bigger process capacity,we can customise ultrasonic homogenizer for serial circulation processing,as shown below:
