Description

 

Ultrasonic extraction utilizes the physical effects of ultrasound, such as cavitation, mechanical vibration, and thermal effects, to accelerate the dissolution, diffusion, and separation of target components in materials by solvents. It is a green and efficient new extraction technology that is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and natural product extraction fields. Its core advantages are high efficiency, short processing time, low energy consumption, fewer impurities, and reduced use of organic solvents.

The core driving force of ultrasonic extraction is the cavitation effect, supplemented by mechanical vibration and thermal effects. These three factors work synergistically to achieve rapid component extraction:

✅ Core: Cavitation Effect (Most Crucial) When ultrasound propagates in a liquid medium, it generates alternating compression and sparsity pressure waves. When the pressure in the negative pressure zone is lower than the liquid vapor pressure, a large number of tiny cavitation bubbles are formed. When the positive pressure zone arrives, the cavitation bubbles instantly rupture (collapse), generating localized:

✅ Ultra-high pressure (up to thousands of atmospheres)

✅ Ultra-high temperature (up to 5000K)

✅ High-speed microjets (liquid impacts the material surface at speeds of hundreds of m/s) The instantaneous impact force of cavitation bubble collapse shatters the cell walls/membranes of the material, breaking the binding force between the component and the material matrix. This allows the extraction solvent to quickly penetrate into the material, while simultaneously rapidly diffusing the dissolved target component into the solvent, significantly improving extraction efficiency.
